Jabloteh, Connection in classic clash

IN WHAT has been the premier clash on the local footballing calendar for the last two years, CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh will face off against W Connection at the Hasely Crawford Stad-ium, Mucurapo today from 5 pm. Today’s match will be crucial as the league will go into a month-long break, with the knockout competition scheduled to run from July 18-30.

In general, all four matches today will have their importance as players will be vying for national team selection —  the Trinidad and Tobago squad will play Thailand on July 10 and South Korea on July 14 during their tour of Asia. League leaders North East Stars will host Defence Force at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground at 4 o’clock while, one hour later, Arima/Morvant Fire will oppose Starworld Strikers at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima. And, in the clash of the two table-proppers, Tobago United will meet South West Drillers at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet, Tobago at 5 pm.
