Please get spelling right

THE EDITOR: I was quite pleased to see the new street signs being placed throughout Sangre Grande especially since most of the previous signs had long since fallen, rotted and faded away, leaving just those of us who were quite familiar with the area knowing which street was located where. But one of these brand new signs caught my attention even more than the others, for it is incorrectly spelt.

Rousseau Street which is off Ramoutar Street and leads to the Sangre Grande Hindu School, is spelt ROUSSEAU and not ‘ROSSEAU.’ But, if you doubt me just take a careful look at the old sign still standing at the corner of Cross Street and Rousseau Street. So please Mr Boynes, Mr Franklyn Khan, the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation or whoever is responsible, let’s get the spelling right. Keep up the good work.
