Superstar Rangers top Premier League

SUPERSTAR RANGERS surged to the top of the standings in the Media 21-sponsored Northern Football Association Premier League after they shut out Cocorite United 3-0. Damian Villafana, Marcus Oliver and Roger Prince scored a goal each in Thursday’s match to secure the points for Rangers. They took leadership as defending champions St Francois Nationals were held to a  2-2 draw by Queen’s Park at the Queen’s Park Oval on Wednesday. Lowly Maraval Youth Academy got their first victory this term when they edged Maple 1-0 on Duran Felician’s goal.

Defence Force moved into the second slot after shooting down Paragon 5-2, with Gary John scoring a hat-trick, Sherwin Gomez, one and Kwesie Larrier, one. Antoine Alleyne and Nigel de Matas got goals for the Caribana Boys.
