TSTT misleads on mzone

THE EDITOR: In a daily newspaper, dated July 22 2004, TSTT had listed questions and answers for their mzone service. However, question 11 said: “How will I be billed for the mzone service?” Answer: “mzone mobile Internet usage is billed based on the volume of data sent or received (upload or download), and not on the length of time connected to the internet.” Therefore, customers are only billed in megabytes for the amount of data sent and received. Presently, the monopoly telecom service provider has an advertisement: “Get connected to mzone, special introductory offer only $99.99/month unlimited (upload and download) and effective September 1, 2004, customers applying for mzone mobile internet will be billed at these rates; mzone basic monthly access $19.99, mzone10 $49.95, mzone20 $99.00 and mzone unlimited $149.99 monthly.” In conclusion, Telco, to this present administration (TSTT), continues its strategy by deceiving John Public with information saying one thing and later another.
