Andy died without justice
THE EDITOR: Permit me space in your newspaper to express my heartfelt condolence to the Seeraj family of Mayaro. It is a pity that our country is being run in such a way. The Government is always claiming that it has done this and that to upgrade our police force, yet what sense does it make if there is protection and no justice? The wrong must pay for their deeds. Yet it is a fact in our every day lives in Trinidad people can tell you about some of our slothful policemen. Why the hell, in the first place, you become policemen if you knew that you couldn’t carry out your duties properly?
You watch the obvious and yet you don’t analyse. Are you all afraid of doing your work first class? It’s for your own country! It’s such a shame to see the facts and yet ignore them. Again I express my sorrow for this family. I knew Andy, he was a wonderful man. Happy, comforting, fun and he loved his work. I end with saying that a person who sacrifices his life to serve people in such a willing way does not deserve to die without justice. But the Lord shall see to all, especially the lazy and evil doers. How do we expect to move ahead if we don’t even have proper justice in our country?
