Upsetters upset in Savannah

Strike Force continued their fine form with a five-wicket whipping of Upsetters in the latest round of matches of the Savannah Windball Cricket League last week. After reducing Upsetters to 74 all out, Sheldon Thomas with an unbeaten 21 took Strike Force to 78 for five —  for the five-wicket win. Also in winners’ row were Stag Renegades who defeated Tusk by six wickets. Tusk made 71 for six in their allotted overs with Ryan Cassie getting an unbeaten 19.


Renegades then replied with 76 for four despite Rick Cassie claiming two for 22 —to claim the comfortable win. Savannah Boys of San Juan fell to Associates by four wickets as Shazid Ali 30 took them home at 113 for six  in reply to Savannah Boys 112 for the loss of the same six wickets. Kings stayed unbeaten in the league to date with a hard fought 19-run win over Dollar Touch. Kings made 101 for nine batting first before reducing Dollar Touch to 82 for nine in reply. Arvind Kumar three for ten was the best of the Kings bowlers.
