Tobago women football kicks off
WOMEN Football in the Warner Group of Companies-sponsored Tobago Football Association is set to kick off on Thursday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet. Biwater Stokelyvale will take on 1976 FC Phoenix from 5 pm. There are four teams vying for honours including defending champions Phoenix. Other teams are St Clair’s Coaching School, Stokelyvale and Milange Stars. And Phoenix will start defence of their Pepsi FA Cup title from August 26 against Calder Hall who have won once in the Eastern Conference at the Dwight Yorke Stadium training ground. Last year’s runners-up Georgia FC meet Eastern Conference leaders Roxborough Lakers at the Dwight Yorke Stadium.
First-round fixtures:
August 25 — Biwater Stokelyvale vs DSX Young Hearts, at Dusty Park; Sea Level Goal City vs HV Milan, Dwight Yorke training ground, 4.15 pm; Charlotteville Unifiers vs Leeds United, 5 pm and St Clair’s Coaching School vs Pepsi Hills United, 7 pm, at Dwight Yorke Stdium.
August 26 — Golden Lane vs Sidey’s, at Roxborough; 1796 FC Phoenix vs Calder Hall, Dwight Yorke training ground, 4.15 pm; Georgia FC vs Roxborough Lakers, 5 pm and Bethel United vs Mason Hall Police Youth Club, 7 pm , Dwight Yorke Stadium.
