Boucaud recalled to ‘Soca Warriors’

NATIONAL football coach Bertille St Clair  has recalled English-born midfielder Andre Boucaud to his squad. Boucaud who made his debut against Iraq and also appeared against Scotland and Northern Ireland, is currently attached to English club Peterborough. He is expected to fill the void left by national skipper Angus Eve, who received a second booking and must miss the St Kitts game. St Clair is preparing his team for their World Cup qualifiers against St Kitts/Nevis on September 4 and Mexico at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on September 8.

He had scheduled a session for yesterday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, but has been forced to keep this practice on Thursday, because of the unavailability of many players who were in action for their clubs at the weekend. “Unfortunately we were unable to have access to all the players for today’s (Monday) session but we have rescheduled for Thursday and it is important we have them all for a full session,” St Clair said. Local players called for training are: Duarance Williams, Jan Michael Williams, Keyeno Thomas, Derek King, Marlon Rojas, Silvio Spann, Michael Celestine, Angus Eve, Kerry Baptiste, Densil Theobald, Marvin Oliver, Jerren Nixon and Stokely Mason.
