Time to quit these bumblers, Brian
THE EDITOR: Brian, you are in danger of being permanently scarred by the lowest level of mediocrity that now passes for West Indian test cricket talent. Firstly, those players you’ve been saddled with either have no heart, no brain or are incapable of adapting to Test cricket level. Either way, the incompetence in effort of the majority of your team will eventually destroy all of your past efforts and accomplishments that you’ve achieved over the last ten years as one of cricket’s greatest batsmen. You have nothing to prove to these under performers any more, and I’ll add the entire WI Cricket Board, coaches, selectors and to those pathetic players as well. Brian, don’t wait, give them your resignation now!
You are the highest run getter in WI cricket, (over 10,000 runs), the holder of the world record for Tests (400 not out), and First Class Cricket, (501 not out). There are no mountains left to climb Brian, and at 35, it’s unfair to ask you to. Brian, I see the pain etched unto your face when these bumblers time and time agin, snatch defeat with the consistency that Lloyd’s and Richard’s teams gained victory. We have become the laughing stock in the cricketing world with only Kenya and Bangladesh languishing under us. Brian, maybe this team will respond better without you, as it seems as if they expect you to always perform for them as well as you do every time you bat.
That level of incompetence is enough reason for you chucking the captaincy back to those “fat cats” who are clinging to power in spite of their continuous failures. Brian Lara, your genius is being destroyed, along with your accomplishments. Go now and go with God. This pain that I, and 5 million other West Indians feel, numbs us. God help our cricket!

dying from our failures)
