Fire out to to burn Connection

ARIMA/MORVANT Fire will be seeking to record their seventh win of the season when they host second-placed W Connection in today’s lone T&T Pro League senior division fixture. Kick-off time is 5 pm at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima. Fire inflicted a 6-0 drubbing on the winless Tobago United at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet on Sunday with a hat-trick from Tobago-born striker Ashford Legerton while Alvis Faure Diaz, national midfielder Densil Theobald and Elliot James adding one apiece. In an Under-20 Division encounter at Bacolet on Monday, North East Stars cruised to a 3-1 win over the lads from the sister isle, with goals from Perry Ferreira (18th), Dexter Thorne (29th) and Kendall Jagdeosingh (65th), while Noel Williams got the consolation for Tobago (70th). Fire and Connection Under-20s will also be in action today, at the Larry Gomes Stadium Playing Field from 4 pm.
