St Clair’s on course for Tobago ‘double’

ST CLAIR’S Coaching School is on course for an unprecedented  League and Pepsi FA Cup double in the Warner’s Group of Companies-sponsored Tobago Football Association Premier League. The defending league champions and current leaders shut out Biwater Stokelyvale 2-0 in their FA Cup semi-final, watched by a large crowd at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet, Tobago on Saturday. Prolific goalscorer Keon Daniel put Coaching School on the road to victory when he struck in the 29th minute. And Massimba George who is also having a grand season, iced the victory with his goal in the 62nd minute. Coaching School will meet Sidey’s in the final on a date to be determined.

The men from Speyside needed penalty kicks to advance past Premier League newcomers Mason Hall Police Youth Club in the second match of the double-header programme. Ryan Gray scored with a spectacular overhead kick following a corner in the 17th minute to give Sidey’s the lead. But it only lasted seven minutes before Keldon Baker fired in a shot which deflected off a defender for the equaliser, and there were no further scoring. The Mason Hall youngsters proved hopeless from the spot, failing to score any of their four kicks while Sidey’s netted three for a 3-0 margin.
