Crabs pinch Stokelyvale

STRIKER Marlon Warner notched a hat-trick in the space of seven minutes to guide L-Sporto Crab Connection to a 4-1 win over Biwater Stokelyvale at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima. And, in another National Super League encounter on Saturday, Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix strolled to a 3-0 victory over Medianet East San Juan United at the Mt Hope Junior Secondary Ground.

A double from Kayode Legall, in the first and 89th minutes, and one from Kenyon Manswell in the 81st gave them the win. In Arima, the match was littered with wasted chances by both teams before Kevin Baptiste put the “Crabs” ahead in the 66th. The enigmatic Warner then went on a goal-spree, finding the target in the 67th, 69th and 74th before another temperamental forward Michael Carrington got Stokely-vale’s consolation in the 89th.
