Falcon Crest take over in the East

FALCON CREST are the new leaders of the Emerald Plaza and Apartments-sponsored Eastern Football Association League and the race for the Arthur “Jap” Brown Trophy. At Squadron ground, Arouca, on Sunday, Falcon Crest edged Joe Public 1-0 on a Peter Rivers goal. They take over from WASA Clean and White and Coast Guard who both have 19 points, with the WASA men playing only eight matches to the others ten. Malta Carib Alcons and East/West Coaching School played out a 2-2 draw at St Joseph Recreation Ground.


Marvin Martinez and Stephon Nanton got goals for Alcons, while Alvin Guevarra and Jeff Headley were the scorers for Coaching School. And Athletico Sports Institute shut out BM Spurs 2-0 at Aranguez Savannah, with Allan Morris and Clint Raymond the goal scorers. Meanwhile, BM Spurs will take a two-goal advantage into today’s second-leg League Cup semi-final against Malta Carib Alcons.  This fixture is scheduled for San Juan Secondary Ground. Shoe Locker Young Hearts and Athletico Sports Institute meet in the other “semi” at Boundary Road.  Kick off is 4.15 pm.
