Why must Advani pay costs?
THE EDITOR: As a layman and ordinary person trying to make an honest living for my family, I was overly saddened while reading your report in today’s Newsday on the ruling on Mr Kishore Advani’s injunction case. It is becoming apparent that a director or a CEO of a company has no choice but to do the bidding of the majority shareholder no matter how wrong the majority shareholder may be. In my simple thinking, this cannot be right.
If the legal system does not provide justice for righteous directors, where do they turn? To also make Mr Advani bear the legal costs incurred by a large conglomerate is carrying injustice to the extreme. Individuals do not stand a just chance at all! I sympathise with Mr Advani and I want him to know that my family and I will continue to pray for him that he may be given new courage and faith in the Lord.
