Maloney/D’Abadie win 3 age-group FA

MALONEY/D’ABADIE Youth Academy have won three of the four-ager group FA Trophy finals to be decided in the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Foot-ball Association. After going down 1-0 to Arima Ball Players on an Keon Wilson goal in the Under-12 Division, the Maloney/D’Abadie youngsters took the Under-14 title on penalty kicks. This final against Barataria Ball Players ended 1-1, with Maloney/D’Abadie getting their goal from Marcus Gomez, but Danell Phillip equalised. Maloney/D’Abadie won 4-3 with kicks from the penalty spot. Then the Under-16 Maloney/D’Abadie youths crushed Creek 6-1 to lift the title in that age-group.


Marcus Gomez, Keron Joseph, Keon Joseph, Atkins Balthazar, Nuro Mohammed and Kendall Roach scored one goal each for the winners, while Ryan O’Neal got the only goal for Creek. Maloney/D’Abadie took the Under-18 FA alson on penalty kicks 8-7, beating Creek, after the teams played out a 4-4 draw in regulation time. David George scored all four goals for Maloney/D’Abadie, while Ryan O’Neal got a double and Dillon Peterson and Stefan Lewis got the other goals for Creek. Maloney/D’Abadie go after a fourth FA title in the Under-20 Division on Monday from 10 am, when they play Shocking Vibes at St Joseph Recreation ground. Shocking Vibes whipped YTC 3-1 on a hat-trick by Devin Fabien.  Kefon Blackford scored for the losing team. And Maloney/D’Abadie edged Creek 3-2 with David George, Dwayne Ramasraj and Derek McFarlane scoring goals. Enrique Layne got both for Creek.
