Police must enforce the law
THE EDITOR: Police Commissioner Trevor Paul should insist that his officers stick to their jobs, in other words mind their business. We have the case of policemen setting free a cockled man who went berserk on learning of his spouse’s infidelity. They felt sympathy for him. Then there are officers who ignore what can only be described as offences in progress; street vending, sale of pirated CDS, urinating in public, spitting on the pavement, littering and the list goes on. The job of the police is law enforcement. Once these laws are infringed the lawmen should spring to action. Leave sympathy and other measures for the courts. Come on Commissioner, command your men to do their jobs with impartial vigour.
