Unifiers new leaders in Tobago

A GOAL by prolific scorer Duane Murray leap-frogged Charlotteville Unifiers into the top spot in the Warner Group of Companies-sponsored Tobago Football Association Premier League. Unifiers took over leadership from defending champions St Clair’s Coaching School with victory on Wednesday afternoon at River Bank, Mt St George in a game postponed from September 15. They now lead Coaching School by two points, both teams having played 12 games, but there are still six more to go with the match-up between them scheduled for October 24 at Charlotteville, a possible showdown.

To date, Murray has been responsible for 12 of Unifiers 29 goals in league action. Meanwhile, there is a big toss-up between Golden Lane and Stag Bethel Uprising for top position in the “A” Conference, with both teams completing the first round on eight points. They are closely followed by Sea Level Goal City, Roxborough Lakers and Northside Combined on six points each. The “B” Conference is led by Argyle Youth Stars after one round.  They are three points clear of Leeds United.
