Kings edge into windball semi-finals

KINGS edged Strike Force by three runs in a thrilling match to reach the semi-finals of the Caribbean Glass/Seenath Auto World Savannah Boys Windball Cricket League. After compiling 109 for six wickets in their allotted 15 overs led by a brilliant 50 by Sunil Narine who struck five sixes and two fours, Strike Force made a valiant attempt to reel in their opponents score but came up just short. They reached 106 for eight wickets, led by Gary James’ 42 which included four sixes and one four.

In another match, defending champs Samba Boys made light work of Stag Renegades, winning by 110 runs. Samba Boys totalled 154 for four wickets with Imtiaz Ali scoring 51 not out and Augustus Ali 33 not out. Then Brent Nakhid took three wickets for 14 runs, Clarence Hector two for 10 and Rajin Kumar two for 15 to bowl out Stag Renegades for 44.
