Bias in report on Parliament
THE EDITOR: Your report on issues raised in Parliament by the MP for Caroni East is intended to twist the minds of rational thinkers. There are many questions to be asked that your article did not, and which when the UNC was in governance you saw in the opposite way. My questions are as follows: 1) Mr Elias first diversion was Mr Panday’s bank account; was that the issue? 2) Since when (according to Mr Rollocks) a government project site is a storage-yard for a private project? 3) Since when is Mr Elias a sub-contractor instead of the main contractor of any project? 4) The Minister commenced his family project simultaneously with the Scarborough hospital? 5) Mr Elias said, he could have built the airport at Piarco for $100M less, why didn’t he do the same for the Scarborough Hospital project? He was given the contract for $33M more than the lowest bidder? And already in cost overrun. 6) Can Newsday find out about one project effected by Mr Elias that did not have a cost overrun? Lastly, please view the documentary re: Venezuela coup 6.30 pm (Sunday 17) on Gayelle and compare the local situation — construction and removal of an incumbent PM.
