Peace Majesty steps lively in slop

PEACE MAJESTY has been knocking on the door and sent a signal he is ready to turn in his maiden certificate with pleasing gallop on the exercise course at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, yesterday morning. The son of Researching/Let’s Get Cracking who has a runner-up spot against his name from four starts this term, seemed at home on the sloppy ground conditions caused by constant rain to clock 36.92 seconds for his spin over 600 metres. This gallop which topped the times for the distance was one of the bright spots on the morning, as trainers continued to give their charges light exercises.

Piece Of Cake and Sounds Good To Me also showed a liking for the conditions, stepping lively from the top of the straight to the winning post (400 metres) in 25.21 seconds. Invincibility continues to look a picture in his coat. The American-bred four-year-old which lowered the colours of Sugar Mike in the Santa Rosa Dash Handicap earlier this year when under the care of trainer Grant Lourenco, stretched out over 800 metres in 54.47 seconds for his new guv’nor Jack Debideen. Royal Miss must be kept in mind whenever similar conditions prevail. This Stephen Jardim-trained filly enjoyed every yard of  her 1000 metres spin completed in 1:12.10 seconds.
