Stars, Connection in top-of-table clash

LEADERS North East Stars will be going all out to extend their advantage in the T&T Pro League today when they meet second-placed W Connection at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva. Three games are on the schedule this afternoon from 5 pm. North East have tallied 48 points from 22 matches, six points more than Connection, with only three rounds of matches remaining. Victory for the Sangre Grande-based leaders will all but eliminate Connection from the title chase, and the chance to add the League crown to their 2004 Pro Bowl and FCB Cup trophies. CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh will need to secure full points against Arima/Morvant Fire at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima to keep their hopes of a three-peat alive while Starworld Strikers will travel north to the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo to oppose Defence Force.
