Cinco De Mayo looks a cinch

CINCO DE MAYO could prove very hard to beat in his engagement tomorrow, Day 32 of the Arima Race Club season at Santa Rosa Park, Arima. The improving three-year-old son of Friendly Lover/Winning Trend had a very good final gallop over 600 metres together with Sounds Good To Me, covering the distance in the best time of the morning 37.25 seconds, and should not be missed. And the Cyril “Greypatch” Arneaud-prepared, Russell Ramsammy-owned colt, entered for the 1200 metres day’s finale for non-winners of two career races, had another handy run again with Sounds Good To Me over 1000 metres in 1:09.66 seconds on Wednesday morning, seemingly enjoying the sloppy track.

Also posting a good gallop yesterday was the speedy Miss Julie who completed a 1000 metres spin in 1:08.62 seconds. But this filly must get past the impressive Dinner Silence, and impressive first-time winner, who crushed her by four lengths. On Wednesday morning, Dinner Silence showed a clean pair of heels in a 600 metres gallop timed in 35.01 seconds from the boxes. Hyarima also showed good speed in his gallop over 400 metres timed in 24.81 seconds, while Free Fun travelled the same trip in 25 seconds flat. City Of Lighes had a good run over 600 metres together with Music Man completed in 37.59 seconds yesterday.
