Third title for ‘Green Machine’

ST AUGUSTINE, the mean “Green Machine” rolled to their third title yesterday, when they edged arch-rivals San Juan Senior Comprehensive 1-0 to take the RBTT Secondary Schools Football League East Zonal intercol title. The “Green Machine” were made to fight all the way for their victory at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, Arima. It was a 48th minute goal by Marlon Whitehall that gave St Augustine title number three, adding to the East League and Big Five they already won. And despite all the best efforts of the Bourg Mulatresse youngsters, St Augustine held on to lift the trophy.
