UNC could win next election

THE Editor: Despite what the NACTA poll predicted I believe that the UNC has a good chance of returning to government if an election is called. The reason being is that the citizens are truly frustrated with the way the country is being governed right now.  The crime situation is so outrageous that many business owners who have not already done so, are selling their businesses and properties and are fleeing to North America and other countries where they feel that the lives of their family members will not be endangered. Our nation’s motto “together we aspire together we achieve” no longer has meaning since not every citizen is given an opportunity to prove himself. If you are not friends with certain groups then you do not have a chance of success and this too is causing people to flee.

The little jobs that exist are not providing citizens with any opportunities to grow. Food prices, building material prices and others prices are constantly rising. The majority of the individuals at Caroni who lost their jobs are still waiting on opportunities to find work.  The situation is truly sad and the people are disenchanted with this PNM government. Therefore the UNC has a better chance of returning to office since most citizens have been experiencing “hell” since the PNM came into office.
