Vessigny shock Compre, reach final

VESSIGNY reached the RBTT Intercol final for the first time in their history with a stunning 1-0 upset victory over Mucurapo at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, yesterday. The Southern princes shrugged off the much vaunted Compre lads and got the winning goal in the 90th minute of yesterday’s semi-final. Khalil Commission became the big hero for Vessigny, when his high free-kick flew over the head of Compre goalkeeper Dameon Rostant’s head and nestled in the back of the net. Up to press time last night, however, the other semi-final between the mean Green Machine of St Augustine and St Anthony’s, Tigers of Westmoorings, were knotted up 0-0.
