Spend, Mr Warner, spend

THE EDITOR: Please publish this as an open letter to Mr Jack Warner. It was with great interest that I read of your desire to ensure that the Soca Warriors reach Germany 2006 even if it takes every cent you have. You see, Mr Warner, this will be poetic justice. Every now and then, I look at the two tickets in a drawer which I and countless others purchased for an event on November 19, 1989. We never got to witness that event. We never even had the courtesy of a proper explanation as to why we never witnessed the event, nor were we ever offered a refund. You see, I grew up watching football all over this country, PSA grounds, Mahaica Oval, QP savannah etc. Since Nov 19, 1989 I have not spent a cent on any football match in this country nor do I have any intention of doing so in the future. Nowadays, I am also part of private, corporate Trinidad. Spend Mr Warner, spend. You already earned the money!!!!!
