More traffic control for St James

THE EDITOR: Rec-ently the police have been very active in the St James area removing motor vehicles badly parked and their activity is most welcome. As Christmas approaches the need to have the streets clear becomes more urgent with each passing day. A quick check of street signs though on the affected streets in the area will reveal that many signs are non-existent or posts which once bore signs are now bare yet the police are enforcing the non existent signs. Could the Licensing Authority help to rehabilitate these signs and markings on the road and so avoid conflicts between motorists and the police. Could the police also do something about those vehicles parked for as long as four years on some streets in St James, most of them without wheels and on blocks?
