Teenage pregnancy — think again

THE EDITOR: Have you ever been to the maternity ward in one of our hospitals recently? The majority of females having babies are somewhere in their teenage years. Which I think is very sad because they haven’t had time to experience life to the fullest. When you have a child at that young and tender age you tend to stray. In other words you lose interest in everything that is of importance to you, especially education.

Teenage girls need to know the specific do’s and don’ts of life. As I always say life is a game, play it to the best of your ability but you always have to remember when playing with fire you could get burnt. No one can tell what life has in store for him or her but you could secure your future by doing what is right. So to all the teenage girls who are planning to have a family soon, think about your future and don’t let it pass you by.
