Keep an eye on Premier Attraction

PREMIER ATTRACTION showed he is going the right way with a pleasant workout on the exercise course at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, yesterday, where trainers took things relatively easy with their charges. The American-bred three-year-old which has a third place finish against his name since joining the small string of Christopher Prime, went smoothly over 800 metres in 51.52 seconds. Rocket Booster has registered some respectable times on the clock in the past, but is still among the maiden ranks. The bay filly again looked exciting with a clocking of 53.30 seconds for her spin over the last 800 metres of the course.

El Guerrouj has never been famous for fast times, but the six-year-old gleding sped over 600 metres in 37.52 seconds, which suggests he is at the top of his game. Woman Of Class was another to show up well in gallops yesterday. The Rohit Dube-trained filly set good early fractions from the 1000 metres marker in the backstretch but was found wanting up the straight. Her run ended at the winning post in 1:09.51 seconds. Over the past three days, most horses either galloped on the smaller exercise course or enjoyed light preparations on the main circuit. The pattern suggests that things could begin to heat up from today.
