Fire at Nahous home again

NINE days after his house was gutted by fire,  retired businessman John Nahous was again called out to his home at Trinidad Crescent, Federation Park, where another small fire occurred. Reports revealed that around 7 pm on Christmas day Professor Courtney Bartholomew, observed smoke coming from the roof of the already burnt-out house of his neighbour. He alerted the Wrightson Road Fire Department and the St Clair Police.

A party of officers led by Ag Sgt Ajith Persad and including Cpl Joseph and PC Boney went to the scene. The fire was brought under control. Officers of the Crime Scenes Unit visited the scene. On December 16, fire broke out at the house around 3.15 pm. Kerol Horsford was carrying out repairs to the roof of the house, when he observed smoke coming from the same roof. He raised an alarm and the Wrightson Road Fire Department was alerted. Nahous, the owner of the house, and others made an attempt to extinguish the  fire but were unsuccessful in doing so. The house which is insured by Lloyds of London is valued at $1.5 million. Investigations are continuing.
