King of kings

THE EDITOR: The birth of Christ is the most significant event in the annals of history — He is Emmanuel “God with us.” This first advent certifies deliverance from sin and the gift of Salvation. He came to save us from practising sinful deeds: To demonstrate how we should live and relate to each other. As we celebrate his supposed birth date, he is the one to whom we should give our gifts. He expects us to repent for the remission of our sins. Acts 2: 38-39.

That we should present our bodies as living sacrifice, holy acceptable to him as our most reasonable service. Romans 12:1 Reverence him and obey his commandments as our whole duty. Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14. And to behave justly, love mercy and walk humbly with him. Intelligent knowledge of who he is? Why he came to this world? Where he is now and what he is doing for us at his Father’s right hand will assist us to behave acceptably in a manner pleasing to him. Titus 2: 11-13. Christ is no longer a babe in a manger, he is our intercessor representing those who repent, confess and turn away from practising sin.

Consider well: This is a time of serious reflection, since his Second Advent is imminent. Are we celebrating his birth as he requires of us? His created beings. Ring out the message loud and clear as we look forward to his second coming as our King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This is our greatest hope. Prepare to meet him when he comes again.
