Warrant exercise bears fruit

Seven persons were arrested on outstanding warrants during a police exercise carried out on New Year’s Day in Central Division. Officers, led by Inspector Ashton Clarke, executed the warrants in Ravine Sable, Enterprise and Longdenville. Those arrested were held on warrants for failing to pay maintenance, failure to pay court fines and woundings.

The exercise started at 4 am and ended at 7 am. Other officers involved in the exercise included PCs Pooran, Mccoonsingh, Scantlebury, Nanan and Singh. The arrested seven will appear before a Chaguanas magistrate today.
