Let us make TT all it can be

THE EDITOR: How can we use the words that we write here to make positive changes in our lives in general? We do not. What makes the positive changes are not words, but actions!  We are witnessing a world where caring and simple thought for our fellow person is non-existent.

So what is positive? We have very concerned and conscientious citizens in this country who have the brains, money and will to make the difference. We all want a nation that we can be proud of, with people who care about each other and the values that places trust, honesty and friendship before money and materialism. This nation has had many chances to succeed, and we the people have the power to make it so. Let us not miss the opportunity to collectively utilise the wealth of our nation, natural resources and positive people. Parents, take control of your children; people, take control of your lives . . . we have all of the ingredients, let us mix them all together and create a nation that we would all hunger for. Love, peace and happiness to all the peoples of the world, especially us Trinbagonians!

. . . we sit here and wonder,
about what we can do?
A thought that we ponder,
an opportunity to renew.
The joy of each other,
the love that we share.
TT is our country,
let us show that we care.
