It was an excellent day in English football for Trinidad and Tobago footballers as they enjoyed a relative goal feast. Trinidad and Tobago’s Stern John also found the nets in a losing effort for Coventry City in the Championship as they went down 3-2 to leaders Ipswich. The 26-year old John had scored the game’s first goal in the 12th minute with a close range shot. In Scotland, Trinidad & Tobago defender Marvin Andrews capitalised on a goalkeeping error to score for giants Glasgow Rangers in the 38th minute, as they beat Dunfermline Athletic 3-0 to move to the top of the table.
Meanwhile, former Soca Warriors teammate Russell Latapy scored a superb, solo effort as Falkirk beat St Johnstone 3-0, to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Division One table. The veteran midfielder finished a superb, mazy run by driving home his shot from an almost impossible angle to open the scoring for the leaders in the 22nd minute.
