Let your actions speak PNM
THE EDITOR: In response to the request from the media, members of the population, staff at NWRHA and members of the Opposition, related to the internal audit done on the NWRHA, which identified a number of issues that reek of corruption of the highest order, the CEO gives the statement: “A corrective action plan is being developed for implementation.”
What is this supposed to mean? We are talking about missing millions, persons being paid who do not exist, persons being hired at higher salaries than the position calls for without approval from the HR committee and it goes on and on. Surely this warrants a more enlightning response. Mr Manning told us at the recent PNM convention that the PNM will not tolerate corruption and is all about transparency in public office. He also loves to quote “what is good for the goose is good for the gander”. But then, this is just a saying. As the US government had to tell Patrick Manning recently, “we do not work with statements.” They need to see a definitive plan. Rightly so, and so do we on this one.
