Sonny Mann is dead

Sonny Mann, 73,  of “Lotela” fame who bridged the gap between chutney and soca died yesterday afternoon at his Caparo home. He travelled throughout the Caribbean, North America and Holland performing. He had been singing for almost 40 years. He was the father of seven. Sonny Mann had been ailing for several months. Councillor Paras Ramoutar said Mann’s passing has left a cultural void in the country.
