WICB fail to show at meeting

MELBOURNE: The West Indies were “no shows” at a two-day meeting of chief executives of International Cricket Council (ICC) member boards that ended on Friday. ICC communications manager, Brendan McClements said the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) chief executive Roger Brathwaite had belatedly withdrawn from the meeting that was attended by the other nine ICC full members and three representatives from the associate members.  “Roger has put his board’s comments and recommendations on the various topics in writing and they were presented to the meeting,” McClements said Friday. McClements gave no reason for Brathwaite’s non-attendance.
