Where is Sparrow?

THE EDITOR: Everybody wants us to do our part to assist culture, but how can we when those in authority continue to treat us shabbily. I am referring specifically to the offering of the Icons Calypso Tent. The newspapers advertised the Mighty Sparrow as one of the frontline performers, and on January 22, I went specifically to see him. He did not appear and there was not even the courtesy of an apology.

Three nights after, there was a clash at the Savannah, and stupidly I went again. After all I want to support my calypso and I want to see Sparrow. Once again Sparrow was heavily advertised; once again he never showed up. We should not accept this from the tents.
