Put traffic lights by lighthouse

THE EDITOR: During rush hour on both evenings and mornings in the area of the Beetham Lighthouse there is a huge volume of traffic. Vehicles proceeding west and attempting to turn right onto Broadway have to filter their way through. The same also applies to vehicles proceeding south along Broadway and attempting to turn left onto the highway. In the absence of uniformed police officers to direct traffic, there is chaos.

Commuters have to wait sometimes more than five minutes to successfully turn onto or off the highway. This trend has been in existence for quite some time. I am sending out an urgent appeal to the powers that be (traffic management) to have traffic lights installed on location. The lights could be turned on during peak hours and turned off during non-peak hours.
