Santa Cruz man goes missing
Santa Cruz resident Allan Mohammed has been missing for the past 17 days, and his family is traumatised over his disappearance. Mohammed’s sister Neisha Singh told Newsday, “A search party began looking for him shortly after he went missing, but we did not find him. After searching for him day and night, we made a missing persons report to the Santa Cruz Police Station, but the police told us that they could not do anything about it until 24 hours had passed.” She said a few days after his disappearance, someone claimed to have seen her brother in the Maracas area.
“The family has visited the police station several times since Allan’s disappearance, but they were told by the officers that so far they have been unable to find him,” she stated. Newsday was recently informed that the family has not heard from the Santa Cruz police about the current state of the investigation into Mohammed’s disappearance. The family, friends and neighbours are still looking for him but without success. “We would like anyone who has seen him to please contact the family at 676-7769, or 620-1257,” Singh said.
