St Clair, technical men meeting ‘good’

NATIONAL football coach Bertille St Clair yesterday described his meeting with members of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) Technical Committee as a “good one.” Yesterday’s meeting at the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence, Macoya,  Tunapuna, which was called to review the team’s recent performances in the Digicel Cup in Barbados, and its preparation for the forthcoming CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers, included committee chairman Rudolph Thomas, Dr Alvin Henderson and Muhammad Isa.

St Clair said: “It was a very good meeting with constructive criticisms and positive ideas. “I was pleased with the approach of the committee members and their knowledge of the game. “I have invited the members to visit our training sessions and I look forward to having them around as we continue our preparations for the matches coming up,” he added.

Thomas who is also a TTFF vice-president added: “The meeting reviewed the recent performances in the Digicel Cup and the World Cup game against the USA here on Ash Wednesday, on February 9.” He continued: “The coach outlined his plans for the World Cup games against Guatemala and Costa Rica and various concepts of defensive organisation were analysed.”
