Lara out, Bravo in versus Bajans

EMBATTLED West Indies captain Brian Lara will miss the Carib Beer Series final round encounter against dethroned champs Barbados, which bowls off tomorrow at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port-of-Spain. But fellow WI player, all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, will return to the fold after injury forced him to miss last week’s drawn fixture against the Leeward Islands at Salem Park, Montserrat.

The 21-year-old Bravo, who, along with Lara and five other regional players, have been debarred from selection on the regional squad due to a contractual dispute, replaces opener Lendl Simmons in the TT squad. Simmons underwent surgery for appendicitis on Monday.
