La Foucade, Rangers cop Youth Cup

THE LA FOUCADE Academy and Superstar Rangers were the respective Under-15 and Under-17 winners in the Trinidad and Tobago Youth Cup. The finals yesterday was staged under overcast conditions at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva. But the La Foucade squad disregarded the gloomy atmosphere to defeat Joe Public 1-0 with a goal from William Bernard.

La Foucade were double winners in the category, as Sean De Silva was adjudged “Most Valuable Player” of the division. Superstar Rangers earned a 2-1 win over tournament favourites W Connection with items from Makesi Lewis and Christian Thomas, while Under-17 MVP Matthew Bartholomew got the lone strike for the “Savonetta Lads.”
