Gomez victorious at Catch Tennis
LIAM GOMEZ strolled to an easy 8-4 victory over Kyle Delzin in the first round of the boys’ Under-14 singles, as the Catch National Junior Tennis Championships began. In another Under-14 contest yesterday, at the Port-of-Spain Public Courts, Princes Building Ground, John Lutchman eased past Christopher Pemberton 8-3. Seve Day had a stroll in the park, as he trounced Jerome Branker 8-0 while Jonathan Gouveia hammered Khalil Moore 8-2. Cheyenne Lutchman progressed to the next phase of the girls’ Under-14 division following an 8-2 triumph over Shontelle Yearwood while Christina Bennett cruised past Isabel Abraham 8-1. The tournament continues today from 8 am.
