Ready for new disaster — TT?

THE EDITOR: The advertisement in your papers of Monday April 4, 2005 tells me that we are far from being prepared for a major disaster. If it took so long to advertise for the head of the new disaster body you can well imagine how long it will take to select someone for he/she to start to function. In the meantime I feel that someone be employed locally or from abroad who can begin almost immediately to have our country prepared for any disaster. In the meantime let us pray that nothing happens. Again, from what we have read via your newspapers, not even the Fire Brigade is in a position to do anything meaningful.
