TSTT ordeal at Trincity Mall branch
THE EDITOR: I recently purchased a cellular telephone from TSTT only to find that it was defective. I had to go through the ordeal of having to go to the TSTT branch at Trincity Mall for it to be repaired or replaced. I went to the branch and got a number and sat down. I was forewarned very rudely that if I left and my number was called that I would have to take another number and it might be too late by then because all of the numbers might be gone. So I sat and waited until my number came up. Finally after ten persons and three hours later, my number was called. The technician looked at me and grabbed my phone and before I could explain what was wrong with the phone she told me “the phone looked like it fell down and TSTT isn’t liable if the phone fell.”
As I tried to say something she got up and said she was coming back, I waited again, another technician came back and sat in her seat and said that she had gone to lunch and he would deal with me, but the system was down anyway and I wouldn’t be able to have the phone replaced and would have to come back the following day. Now if someone had just told me that I wouldn’t have been able to do anything because of the system being down I would not have wasted my whole day which I took time off work to do. TSTT really needs to spend some of the millions of profits which it boasts of every year, on quality customer service, because as a paying customer we do not need to be treated like this all the time. We deserve better service.
