Sweato win in Arima b-ball

SWEATO pulled off another hard-fought victory in the Arima Basketball League when they knocked-off Trinidad and Tobago Elite “B” 63-55 to keep them well poised on the chart. Andy Belfon notched 17 points and Nero added 12 points to spearhead the win in Thursday night’s game. David Farmer scored 11 points and Kayle Nurse ten for Trinidad and Tobago Elite “B.”  Sweato really had to dig deep for the victory although they led 15-7 and 28-16 after the first two quarters.

TT Elite forged ahead at the end of the third quarter 40-38, before Sweato got back on track in the final quarter to go on to their victory. In another match, Valencia Kings got 21 points from Kenrick Bernard as they rolled over Tacarigua Run and Gut 70-52. The Kings trailed after the first quarter 11-16 behind an impressive performance by Dale Parris who scored 13 points. Thereafter the Kings took control and led 38-30 at the half time interval, and 48-42 at the three-quarter stage.
