The City owes me a refund
THE EDITOR: Some seven months ago I was issued with a traffic ticket, which I promptly paid, for parking too close to a fire hydrant on Lower Frederick Street, near to Capital Plaza. It is now patently clear that the object too close to which I had parked was not really a fire hydrant, but an ornament placed there, at great expense to us taxpayers, which ornament served purposes useful only to our citizens of canine ilk in their time of urgent need. As my diligent checks have revealed that it is not an offence (except of course to our olfactory senses) to park too close to a canine urinal, I am therefore, through your medium, calling upon the authorities for a full and immediate refund of the fine which I had paid!
