Poison win twice in Tyro windball cricket

POISON were poisonous in the Tyro Sports Club Windball Cricket League, scoring victories over Tyro Under-19 and Upper Blanc Street Youths in their latest games. First Poison rattled up 156 for seven wickets with Stephen Cipriani getting 57, Earl Espinoza 25 and Michael Calderon 20, then restricted Tyro Under-19s to 62 for nine wickets. Then after holding Upper Blanc Street Youths to 68 for five wickets, they raced to 71 for four off 10.2 overs. But the Tyro seniors kept San Juan San Juan to 72 for seven wickets then romped to 76 for four for a six-wicket victory.

Santa Cruz United bowler Kerron Noreiga took a hat-trick in his nine balls bowled against the Tyro Under-19s who were routed for a paltry 30. The Santa Cruz men had scored 120 for seven wickets with Sean O’Connor leading the scoring with 40. Santa Cruz Wreckers were also in winner’s row after totalling 99 for eight wickets and restricting Experience to 61 for eight. In women action, Die Hard beat St Vincent Street by nine runs. The Die Hard women were bowled out for 75 but managed to restrict St Vincent Street to 66 for five wickets for the victory.
