2020 Vision in Maracas

THE EDITOR: On March 29 the telephone company dug the paving around two manholes on the Maracas Royal Road. One hole in particular is about three feet long by two feet wide. To get to the metal covering they had to dig three inches deep. This road is a dead end road so all vehicles that go up must come back down the same way, so almost always when you reach this hole there are many vehicles going in the opposite direction your choice then being to drive in the hole or wait till the other side is clear.

Many years ago WASA laid mains under the road. Since then on a weekly basis the main breaks somewhere along this road. As usual WASA is never in a hurry to repair leaks and when finally they do the repairs, the next day the water will as usual be leaking again so the repairs have to be done a second time. Sometime after the repair gang will repair the hole in the road, when in two days about 500 cars pass over this repair the hole is now deeper than before the repair was done. We are taxpayers so we expect to be treated as such. I have an old motor car and I am inviting the minister or our representative to come and enjoy a ride with me.
